XCIPTV / THE EXACT APP MATTERS

XCIPTV Player: identify the app before you add an account.

Find OTTRUN’s Android player, understand branded editions and match M3U or Xtream details to the right inputs. Keep software and viewing access clear.

THE CLEAR ANSWER

XCIPTV PLAYER by OTTRUN is a media player for Android devices, with no included channels. Identify the exact publisher and edition, then add activated viewing access through the supported account or playlist route. A player installation and a viewing subscription are separate decisions.

Keep these decisions clear.
  • Confirm OTTRUN and the exact app edition before following a tutorial.
  • Branded editions may show different login choices and controls.
  • Test your device, viewing access and required features before a longer term.

Which XCIPTV app should you look for?

Start with XCIPTV PLAYER on Google Play, published under OTTRUN with package identifier com.nathnetwork.xciptv. The checked listing describes Android TV, Android phones and Android tablets. Check availability for your own device and country rather than assuming a desktop search result establishes installability.

The developer’s documentation uses the heading OTR Player and describes it as formerly XCIPTV Player. The checked Google Play listing still uses XCIPTV PLAYER. These are the labels actually observed in those sources; this guide does not infer a new release date or tell you to replace an installed app solely because the documentation heading differs.

Publisher identity matters more than a similar icon. If your device runs another operating system, use the player comparison by device to find a suitable documented option. This Android guide is not an iPad, Windows or every-Fire-TV installation tutorial.

Why can two XCIPTV-based apps show different controls?

The OTTRUN product documentation describes configurable branding, login types and feature visibility. A provider-branded edition can therefore present a different logo, a preselected server or fewer settings than the public player.

If you see only username and password, do not assume a generic guide’s missing server field is an error. Ask the supplier of that edition how its server is configured. If your existing player works, note its exact name, version and publisher before replacing it with another similarly named download.

A useful support screenshot shows the app name, visible field labels and the error. Cover account values, private links, device keys and login QR codes. Do not send a photograph containing a working password simply to demonstrate which controls are present.

What does the player include, and what do you still need?

XCIPTV is player software. The official listing says it includes no media content and has no affiliation with content suppliers. Installing it does not create an Apollo viewing account. The store listing also displays an ads notice; check any actual software purchase screen rather than assuming a player payment buys channels.

The developer’s Android product page lists viewing, guide, favourites, parental-control and recording functions. Treat them as documented software capabilities. A catch-up button needs suitable archived content, and recording needs appropriate storage, source access and an allowed viewing session. A feature list is not proof that every provider or title supports the same behaviour.

Before paying for viewing access, write down the exact content you need and the device you will use. Our IPTV service buying comparison helps you compare the actual offer, its full price and the seller’s support route rather than buying from the player name alone.

Add the format your edition actually offers.

First obtain activated access from your viewing provider. Open the player’s account or playlist setup and inspect the available route. The official documentation lists Xtream-compatible accounts and M3U support, but provider customisation can change which choices you see.

  1. Identify the input. A separate-account route needs the supplied server, username and password where those fields are offered. A playlist route needs the complete private M3U link.
  2. Use viewing credentials. Your Google Play password, the email used to request a plan and a viewing-account username are different things.
  3. Preserve the issued address. Keep any supplied scheme, port, path and account-specific parameters. Ask support rather than inventing a portal address.
  4. Save and allow the import to finish. Confirm whether the account and catalogue are accepted before changing player settings.

Menu wording can vary. This is a label-based procedure grounded in documented formats, not a claim that Apollo performed a fresh XCIPTV test. For genuine portal pictures from a different, explicitly identified Windows player, use the IBO Player Pro screenshot guide; its interface should not be presented as XCIPTV.

Check viewing, the guide and account limits separately.

Use one required live channel and, when relevant, one movie or episode to check picture, sound and basic controls. Note the device, exact app version and time. A populated home screen establishes that information loaded; it does not establish sustained playback or the availability of every title.

If playback works but programme information is missing, record which channels are affected and the guide’s last successful update. Keep the working login while checking the guide source and channel-matching steps. If one item fails, compare another item before concluding that the whole account is unavailable.

For recording or multi-view, confirm permitted simultaneous sessions before starting another stream. A player layout with multiple panels does not increase your viewing plan’s allowance. Do not infer extra access from the number of boxes an app can display.

When you need help, report the symptom without private access values: “OTTRUN XCIPTV PLAYER, my device model, app version, login accepted, live picture works, one named channel has no guide.” That tells the provider what to investigate while preserving the account.

Choose an Apollo plan after checking the exact setup.

Apollo provides prepaid viewing access separately from XCIPTV. Plans start at $14.99 USD upfront for one month and one simultaneous stream, with no automatic renewal. One-stream annual access is $79.99 paid upfront. Choose the term and check the full total in the Apollo plan selector; an app licence, where applicable, is a separate cost.

The form requests payment instructions. It does not charge or instantly activate access. The team emails applicable instructions, confirms payment and manually activates the account before sending connection details. Follow the subscription ordering walkthrough for the complete sequence.

If this player and device have not been checked with your account, an optional 24-hour trial supports one simultaneous stream, starts at manual activation and requires no payment details. Use it to verify your actual setup and must-watch content before choosing a longer term. This guide does not claim an XCIPTV playback benchmark or a developer affiliation.

Five useful questions.

Does XCIPTV PLAYER come with channels?

No. The official OTTRUN listing says it contains no media content. You supply an appropriate viewing source separately.

Is OTR Player the same label as XCIPTV?

OTTRUN’s documentation describes OTR Player as formerly XCIPTV Player, while the checked Google Play listing still uses XCIPTV PLAYER. Verify the publisher and exact edition rather than relying only on a name.

Why does my branded app have no server field?

The developer documents configurable login types and branding. Ask the supplier of that exact edition how its server is configured; do not invent a portal address or assume another tutorial has identical controls.

Can I use this Android guide on an iPad or Windows?

This guide concerns the checked Android product. A similar name on another platform does not establish identical software, controls or compatibility. Use that platform’s exact publisher listing and instructions.

Do recording or multi-view features add more viewing connections?

No. App capabilities do not increase a provider plan’s allowed concurrent sessions. Confirm the account allowance and the feature’s source, storage and device requirements before use.

Sources and scope.

Primary references checked October 31, 2026: the linked OTTRUN Google Play listing, OTTRUN documentation and developer Android product page. Some developer documentation carries an older edit date; current labels are reported separately. No hands-on XCIPTV session, universal device compatibility or developer affiliation is claimed. The original artwork is explanatory and is not an app screenshot.
